SUMMARY:Self-Protection Essentials – Brisbane
DESCRIPTION:Train in Paul Cale’s world-leading close-combat program used by Australian Special Forces & Army\, tailored for everyday self-protection.\n\n\n\nThe Personal Combatives courses in the KEF–IC syllabus use the same principles and core techniques as the Australian Army Combatives Program (ACP). The difference? You learn only what’s applicable to tackling violence as a civilian. Battlefield rules of engagement are replaced with the laws of self-defence\, and a soldier’s weapon systems are replaced with your body\, and whatever you can legally carry or find at hand. But the mindset remains the same.   \nA veteran of multiple combat tours with the 2nd Commando Regiment\, former Sergeant Paul Cale literally rewrote the book on Special Forces Close-Quarter Fighting (CQF). He then created Infantry Integrated Combat (ICC)\, which later became the foundation for ACP — now the official close-combat training system for Australia’s general Army. \nKinetic Fighting is the culmination of all Cale’s work in combatives\, and the name used to describe the method underpinning his military programs. Whether you want to learn mental strategies and tactical applications to make your existing martial arts skills more effective\, or you need to build effective self-protection skills from the ground up\, this course is for you. \nYou may even want to take your first steps toward a KEF–IC black belt. KEF–IC (Kinetic Fighting–Integrated Combat) is a new program within the Australian Army that combines tactical combative skills with free sparring/rolling and the competitive elements of the Integrated Combat Clubs\, which are located at Army barracks Australia-wide. As an extension of ACP\, KEF–IC provides the training principles and core syllabus required to give soldiers a survival skill set\, and mindset to match. Every element of KEF–IC is focused toward real combat and was taught to non-military personnel for the first time in 2019. \nON THIS COURSE\, KEF–IC INSTRUCTOR PIERO BORGNA WILL TEACH CALE’S BATTLE-PROVEN PRINCIPLES AND SURVIVAL TACTICS\, WHICH ARE:\n\nAdaptable to any martial art or professional operational procedure\nSuitable for civilians & front-line operators\, from beginners to professionals\nBacked by Paul Cale’s 25+ years of career military experience & 40 years in martial arts\, as well as Piero’s own extensive experience and qualifications. \n\n\nCOURSE DETAILS:\n\n\nIn this module (known as Alpha in the KEF–IC syllabus)\, you will cover the key aspects of surviving — and preventing — violent confrontation: mindset\, tactics\, legal and moral considerations\, and functional\, high-percentage techniques. You will also discover how KEF–IC’s battlefield origins inform everything that you learn\, and how to adapt its proven principles to your own abilities and existing skill-sets (if applicable). \nPrerequisites: None – complete beginners welcome* \n  \n\n\nBOOK NOW & SAVE – Use the code ‘earlybird’ to get $20 off and a free KEF–IC cap!* \nBRING A FRIEND & SAVE – Multi-ticket discounts available  \n  \n\n* Book before 11:59pm on 20 April 2023. \n** (If you have previously completed the course and would like to do a refresher\, contact us  for special pricing.)

The module also teaches the fundamentals of ‘baselining’ threats (vital for effective threat analysis) and introduces rapid profiling in dynamic environments. This includes analysing examples in a classroom environment\, then applying these skills in practical\, scenario-based drills. The lessons culminate in a high-fidelity simulation exercise\, enabling you to put your training into action. \nThrough the Golf module\, you will develop: \n\nconfidence in avoiding violent attack by ‘base-lining’ and profiling potential threats\ntechniques that reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim\nversatile conflict-management skills\nthe ability to operate in environments where multiple threats exist\na stronger ‘combat mindset’ and ability to reduce stress reactions \nconfidence in using nonverbal analysis in high-stress environments.\n\nYour instructor will also field questions and troubleshoot\, helping you to work through any issues you’re having in understanding and applying the principles and tactics. You will also receive a FREE copy of his e-book\, Predicting Violence: How to Interpret Nonverbal Cues. \nPrerequisite: KEF–IC Foxtrot* \n  \nBOOK NOW & SAVE – Early-bird special includes a FREE KEF–IC cap worth $28!** \nBRING A FRIEND & SAVE – Get a second ticket for 50% off! \n  \nTHE INSTRUCTOR:\nThis training in essential\, real-world self-protection skills will be delivered by KEF Mission Specialist Instructor (MSI) Mathew Wann. As an instructor of front-line professionals\, Mathew gives first-responders and career combatants the tools to understand social and physical precursors to violence\, as well as the dynamics of this ‘most primal human disorder’. As a coach and mentor\, Mathew has also helped athletes and coaches to gain a competitive advantage in their sport by interpreting unspoken signals. \n  \n* Do the Foxtrot and Golf modules together for a discount. SUMMARY:Violence Prevention Essentials – Melbourne
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to prevent violence before it happens\, using proven behavioural analysis and threat-detection methods. Behavioural intelligence expert Mathew Wann — author of Predicting Violence: How to Interpret Nonverbal Cues — will teach you how to become a ‘hard target’ in any environment. \nWith over 15 years of experience in nonverbal communication and behavioural analytics for Defence\, Mathew Wann is a specialist in his field. As an instructor of front-line professionals\, he gives first-responders and career combatants the tools to understand social and physical precursors to violence\, as well as the dynamics of this ‘most primal human disorder’. As a coach and mentor\, Mathew has also helped athletes and coaches to gain a competitive advantage in their sport by interpreting unspoken signals. \nThese ‘soft skills’ are the most important in any self-defence repertoire\, regardless of the environment — after all\, you can’t lose a battle you don’t have! Unfortunately\, they are also the most neglected and rarely taught skills in the self-defence and security fields. So\, Kinetic Fighting has now developed this expanded and publicly accessible version of its ‘Red Flags to Violence’ training module delivered to military and police. \nIn this session and its follow-up module\, Dynamic Threat Management\, KEF Mission Specialist Instructor Mathew Wann will teach you essential principles and tactics that are:\n\nSuitable for civilians but proven by front-line operators\nAdaptable to any social or professional environment\nBacked by Mathew’s many years of career military experience and professional application.\n\nYou will also receive a FREE copy of the e-book Predicting Violence: How to Interpret Nonverbal Cues.** \n  \nIn this module (‘Foxtrot’ in the KEF–IC syllabus)\, you will be taught the levels of situation awareness and how to apply them in everyday life. This includes theoretical and practical applications of active observation and dynamic scanning of an environment. You’ll then discover the four main motives that drive violent attacks\, along with how these motives relate to violent attack (this information is vital in dynamic threat assessments\, as it provides an insight into the mind of a potential attacker). \nNext\, you’ll be introduced to the nonverbal behaviours that typically precede acts of interpersonal violence. This is followed by the basic principles of immediate threat assessment\, which complements and supports the applied combat-mindset principles taught in other KEF–IC modules such as Self-Protection Essentials (Alpha). \nThrough the Foxtrot module\, you will develop: \n\nsituational awareness skills\nconfidence in observing and monitoring threat environments\nan understanding of motivations for violence\nthe ability to rapidly detect potential threats\ntechniques to accurately analyse nonverbal behaviour.\n\nPrerequisites: None — beginners welcome \n  \nBOOK NOW – Early-bird special includes a FREE KEF–IC cap worth $28!** \nBRING A FRIEND & SAVE – Get a second ticket for 50% off! \n  \n* Book offer applies to full-course tickets only; book the Foxtrot and Golf modules together\, and receive an additional discount.  \n** Book before 11:59pm on 1 December to receive your free KEF–IC cap.

SUMMARY:Self-Protection Essentials – Sydney
\nOn this course\, Combatives Master Trainer and former Commando Clancy Roberts will teach Paul Cale’s battle-proven principles and survival tactics\, which are:\n\nAdaptable to any martial art or professional operational procedure\nSuitable for civilians & front-line operators\, from beginners to professionals\nBacked by Paul Cale’s 25+ years of career military experience & 40 years in martial arts\, as well as Clancy’s own extensive qualifications.\n\n\nCOURSE DETAILS:\n\n\nIn this module (known as ‘Alpha’ in the KEF–IC syllabus)\, you will cover the key aspects of surviving — and preventing — violent confrontation: mindset\, tactics\, legal and moral considerations\, and functional\, high-percentage techniques. You will also discover how KEF–IC’s battlefield origins inform everything that you learn\, and how to adapt its proven principles to your own abilities and existing skill-sets (if applicable). \nPrerequisites: None – complete beginners welcome* \n\n  \n\n\nBOOK NOW & SAVE – Early-birds get a free KEF–IC cap!* \nBRING A FRIEND & SAVE – Get a second ticket for 50% off ** \n  \n\n* Book before 11:59pm on 27 November.  \n** Book two spots for Alpha and Bravo modules\, and pay only 50% for the second ticket. SUMMARY:Self-Protection Essentials – Melbourne
\nON THIS COURSE\, KEF–IC INSTRUCTOR JUSTIN QUBROSI WILL TEACH CALE’S BATTLE-PROVEN PRINCIPLES AND SURVIVAL TACTICS\, WHICH ARE:\n\nAdaptable to any martial art or professional operational procedure\nSuitable for civilians & front-line operators\, from beginners to professionals\nBacked by Paul Cale’s 25+ years of career military experience & 40 years in martial arts\, as well as Justin’s own extensive experience and qualifications. \nPrerequisites: None — beginners welcome* \n\n\n* (If you have previously completed the Alpha module or Alpha and Bravo\, and would like to do a refresher\, contact Kando Martial Arts for special pricing.)

With a focus on combatives application and mindset\, you will be given the opportunity to test your comprehension and capabilities in regards to the core KEF–IC syllabus.  \nDuring this challenge you will come to understand: \n\nYour specific weak points in combatives knowledge and execution\, and how to overcome these\nYour strengths in the combatives space\, and how to use them to greater advantage\nThe mindset\, mental conditioning and physical hardiness required to survive worst-case scenarios\nThe ethos and principles that govern teams of elite operators working in hostile conditions\nThe skills to interpret your environment in order to make effective decisions and solve complex problems while under mental and physical duress.\n\nThe camp culminates in a comprehensive individual feedback session based on your results\, which will be recorded by the instructors throughout the camp. These instructors include highly experienced members of Australia’s 2nd Commando Regiment (2 CDO) and Special Air Service Regiment (SASR)\, who are trained in SF close-quarter fighting (SF-CQF) and Close Personal Protection (CPP) in addition to KEF–IC and the Army Combatives Program. \nFor eligibility inquiries\, contact us. \n  \nBOOK NOW
