DESCRIPTION:Learn how to apply the principles of Kinetic Fighting–Integrated Combat to control your fear and deal with common street weapons.\nIn this course (Level 2-Alpha in the KEF–IC syllabus)\, you will discover not only the essential components of surviving an armed attack\, but how to arm yourself — legally — for the purpose. A mix of theory and practice\, these lessons will help you hone fundamental skill sets (including those learned in our Self-Protection Essentials course*\, for those who have done it) and integrate Kinetic Fighting’s core principles and survival strategies into your thinking. \nIn this module you will develop a working knowledge of the following key aspects of self-protection: \n\nBehavioural threat awareness and weapon detection\nWeapon characteristics and vulnerabilities to exploit\nDistancing concepts specific to weapons\nWeapon suppression and control methods \nLegal considerations for possession and use of self-protection tools \nImprovisation and effective use of legal tools for defence.\n\nPrerequisites: None; beginners welcome \nBONUS: Free ground-fighting skill development session\, 1 hour ** \nBOOK NOW – Buy two or more tickets and save! \n  \nTHE INSTRUCTOR:\nThis training in essential\, real-world self-protection skills will be delivered by KEF–IC CMT Geordie Lavers-McBain. Geordie is contracted by the Australian Defence Force to teach weekly at the Combatives Centre at Gallipoli Barracks\, Enoggera. He is\, to date\, the only civilian to have completed ACP (the Army Combatives Program designed by Paul Cale) Levels 1\, 2 and 3 and Instructor qualification. He has also completed the US Marines’ MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program) black belt curriculum. He holds black belts in 23 different martial/combat arts\, including a 2nd Degree in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and 6th Degree in Jissen Budo\, and instructor qualifications in 14 other fighting systems including muay Thai\, boxing and wrestling. \n  \nCOVID-19 policy: In addition to enhanced safety and hygiene protocols\, participants will be able to work with only one other person for the duration of the seminar. SUMMARY:Screen Combat Safety / Tactical Role-Player Qualification
DESCRIPTION:In this dynamic and challenging two-day course\, you’ll gain industry-accredited firearm safety and handling skills as well as the best first-aid training in the business!\n \n  \nIn addition to firing an array of weapons (with ‘live’ fire and blanks)\, you’ll receive expert education in correct weapons handling and safety\, taught by the veteran crew of Extra Specialists and Kinetic Fighting. These instructors combine real combat knowledge with extensive film-industry experience to give you an edge in applying what you learn. You’ll then learn the essentials of first-aid using the state-of-the-art Laerdal SimMan 3G patient simulator\, guided by the former combat medics and emergency services personnel from Emergency Australia. \nLocated at the High Fidelity Training Centre inside Screen Queensland Studios\, this course delivers the required skill sets and qualifications you’ll need if wanting to: \n\nwork as an actor\, stunt performer\, director\, safety officer\, etc. in the action side of film\, TV or advertising\nexpand your weapons knowledge and applicable skill sets (especially for instructing firearms defence/awareness and running realistic self-defence scenarios)\nget qualified to work as a scenario role-player in defence-force and law-enforcement training exercises.\n\nIn addition to preparing people for the film industry\, Kinetic Fighting and Extra Specialists have joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind capability\, in order to supply tactical role players (TRPs) for government contracts. This course delivers qualifications required for this work\, covering the following: \n\nCategory A\, B\, C\, D & H weapons safety with live fire\, as well as a blank-fire conversion for AK47. This covers: pistol\, shotgun\, AR15\, AK47 conversion\, centrefire & rimfire rifles\nThe nationally recognised HLTAID003 Provide First Aid and HLTAID001 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation courses\, followed by immersive simulations to enhance individual skill sets and build confidence through exposure\nOn-set etiquette for role players \nContractor SOPs (standard operating procedures)\n\n \nDiscounts & RPL\nIt is a requirement for all KEF TRPs to hold a current weapon-safety certificate in categories A\, B\, C\, D & H\, as well a blank fire recertification and a current first-aid certificate.
